Magnesium Casting Facility

(Mining - Magnesium)


Wollam Construction completed the civil/structural portion of a new direct chill casting facility for a magnesium producer.  A portion of the work was fifty feet in the ground with the water table being at 11 feet.  The work consisted of dewatering, sheet piling, earthwork, auger cast piling, structural concrete, structural steel erection, equipment installations and roofing/siding.
